Get to know me!
Nearly a year ago my life was turned upside down when my husband of 20 years unexpectedly passed away from a massive heart attack leaving me a single mom to four kids, 2 are adults and 2 are still in high school. This new single life is giving way to a period of upheaval and growth. My saving grace during the first few months was my 200-hour yoga teacher training through Red Rocks Community College. Deepening my yoga practice and truly understanding the importance of the connection between mind, body, and spirit kept me mentally and physically healthy as I adapted to my new normal. Every day is an adventure as I cope with my grief. Some days I’m happy and smiling, others every little thing makes me cry and that’s okay. Creating a practice centered around yoga, meditation, breathwork, exercise, good nutrition, enjoying nature, and time with family and friends has helped me most.
